Dear Lake Families,
DPS announced Wednesday evening, following Governor Polis’ order to suspend in-person learning through Friday, April 17, that DPS is moving to remote learning for the district beginning Tuesday, April 7. Lake Middle School has developed a comprehensive plan for remote learning and digital instruction. All students will engage in their instruction through their teacher Schoology pages.
At the beginning of each week, all teachers will assign 5 daily lessons with attached assignments with optional practice time as well on their schoology class pages. Additionally, all teachers will be available daily for students to be able to ask questions or get help on their assignments during 8 to 10 a.m., and 12:30 to 2 p.m. Each teacher will post these times on their schoology pages starting on April 6th. Also, you can contact all teachers and staff by their emails during this time as well.
Below is our daily student schedule:
TIme | Student Schedule |
8 to 10 a.m. | Instruction Time: Teachers are available by email, google, etc. Students work on assignments |

We are in the process of ordering more hot spots. In the meantime, you can review Internet Essentials or use the xfinitywifi network if one is available near your home.
If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to Amanda_McDonald@dpsk12.org or Roxanne_Ellsworth@dpsk12.org. We hope you are safe and well at home. We miss all our Lake Knights and look forward to getting to be with you again soon. Please stay safe and take care of each other.
Sincerely,
Amanda McDonald and Roxanne Ellsworth
Download the Schoology mobile app on your Android or iPhone.
In order to log in to the Schoology mobile app, you will first have to reset your password through a web browser (i.e. Chrome or Firefox) by logging in to the Parent Portal and clicking on the Schoology button.
Once logged into Schoology via a web browser, click the drop down menu next to your name. Then, click on Account Settings > Account Password-Password > Change Password.
After you reset your password, you can then log in to the mobile app.
We recommend using the same password as your Parent Portal account. Choosing a different password will result in difficulty logging in.
